The Bohol Yoga Festival 2023 is on the Way!

After 2 years the Bohol Yoga Festival is back. This coming May 20-21 (Saturday and Sunday), the Fox & Firefly Resort in Loboc River will host a festival that's all about yoga, and I'll be one of the teachers there. Before you start reading this post, just know, that the signup form link is at the bottom of this article.

There will be a great assembly of yoga teachers from Bohol, other provinces in the Philippines, and even one international teacher and friend, Paul Kortekass. As such, you can expect very diversified classes of different yoga styles, and that's a great opportunity to experience different styles of yoga and teaching.

There are a few options when it comes to signing up for the event: full festival passes in private/shared/dorm rooms, or daily passes. The full festival passes are great for non-Bohol residents and tourists who are in Bohol, and even for Bohol residents who'd like to immerse themselves in yoga for 2 whole days and take a break in the beautiful area of the Fox & Firefly on Loboc River. The full festival passes also include daily breakfast, a pass to all yoga classes, roundtrip transfers, and a 1-hour SUP tour (Stand Up Paddleboard on Loboc River).

What Kind of Activities You Can Expect at the Bohol Yoga Festival?

Even though it's not yet 100% finalized, Joan Soupart, the organizer of this festival and co-owner of the Fox & Firefly Resort told me that the participants can expect: Yin, Vinyasa, Ashtanga, and Hatha Yoga, Kirtan Meditation, Singing Bowl Meditation, dancing meditation and more.

Here are some of the teachers that will teach during the Bohol Yoga Festival of May 2023:

  • Joan Soupart - Hatha, SUP Yoga, Meditaion, and Yoga Talk

  • Paul Kortekaas from the Netherlands - Hatha, Yin, Vinyasa, Pilates, Breath, and Yoga Nidra

  • Raisa Athena Bantol - Dynamic Pelvic Stability and Mobility, PNF Stretching

  • Arjhun - Hatha, Deep Peace Meditation, Kirtan Meditation

  • Tracy - Gentle Flow, restorative with singing bowl

  • Lobi - Adult Ballet Fitness

  • Laura - Power Yoga, Vinyasa, Yin, Arm Balance Flow

  • Annie - Hatha & Sivananda

  • Rad - Flow Yoga, Kirtan Meditation

  • Jing, AKA me - Led Ashtanga Primary Series, Yinyasa, Qigong

The teachers won't teach using their full arsenal, but you can be sure that there will be a great variety of classes, and there will be about 20 classes over the span of these two days.

Besides the wonderful in-house restaurant Food & Fables that offers Filipino and international food with many vegetarian and vegan twists, there will be plenty of sellers of food invited by the Fox & the Firefly. You can also expect some arts and crafts artisans from Bohol to be present there during the festival.

I'm excited about the Bohol Yoga Festival of 2023, and I hope to see as many yoga enthusiasts there! You can book your spot in the event signup form.
